Zermatt

A 4 hour train journey through Brig led us to a paradise in Switzerland - Zermatt. We checked into a hotel called "Star Hotel" that had excellent rooms,a healthy breakfast and a server who was warm, welcoming and talkative. The view from the room was adorable.

Zermatt is a car free town with electric cars plying all over.

We had an unforgettable cog-rail trip that took us to the 3,089 metres Gonergratt.

Winding it's way up the hill side, the 90 minutes ride gave a wonderful view of alpine peaks the beauty of which was incomparable.

That evening Bo had one of his memorable chicken dish in a chinese restaurant. The next day we did some shopping along the streets near the train station.

Zermatt is a harmonious blend of traditional dark wooden chalets sit alongside contemporary hotels. It is a vacation village and it is worth paying atleast one more visit.
